Hi all, It's been a long, long time! After FHS, I went to good ol' De Anza for 2 years and found out that studying is pretty cool (I even stopped cheating!). Ib transferred to UC Davis and graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Molecular Biology. I then went to UC Berkeley for a Ph.D. in Mol. Biol, but found it wasn't really "my path" and left after 1 year. I moved to New York in '93 and became a computer programmer, where I finally learned how to wear a suit and tie and have since worked on Wall Street for various big corps.

In Sept. 2000, I married a wonderful Brazilian girl and we are now happily living on the Upper East Side of Manhattan (quite a change from good ol' Sunnyvale! ). I'm now working as an independent software developer, however, for almost a year now, I've been doing alot of human rights work to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China (see www.faluninfo.net ). While at Berkeley, I became interested in various eastern philosophies, especially Buddhism. I've have been practicing Falun Gong for the past 3 years, whichb has benefitted my health, clarity of mind, andb energy level tremedously.

And, for the biggest event of my life...so far... In Feb, 2002, my wife and I joined 70 Falun Gong practitioners ( from over 20 different countries) and went to Beijing, China. We gathered on Tiananmen Square in protest of the Chinese Leadership's brutal treatment of the practitioners in China. After attempting to raise a simple banner with 3 Chinese Characters (truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance), we were instantly swepted up the police, detained for 24 hrs. and then deported the next day. Now, my wife and I are banned from China for the next 5 years. In case, this seems a bit crazy to you, please check out this web page that I created after the trip: http://www.nycproject.com/~scott/tam/tam-after.htm

I hope everybody is doing well, and I apologize for taking 14 years to get back to you all ; )

Best Regards.
Scott

Scott added the news that he became a dad to Corina Keyston Chinn on 02/04/05! He has posted photos on his webpage, www.nycproject.com/scott

Can't believe it's been 10 years! After High School, I moved to Sydney, Australia in '90 and lived there for about 18 months. I'd met a girl from Sydney and we were married while I lived there. Then we moved back to Cupertino and I started working for Apple Computer. The site I was at moved to Austin, Texas in '92 and that's where we still are. Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi, everyone. After FHS, I got married and moved to Chico with my wife. We have one daughter, Alice, and I'm currently hacking away at my master's degree in English and medieval history, while the two of us run a commercial art studio! Whew. Loved seeing you all at the reunion; I want to see more of you out there at the next one!

Just writing to say hi. After Fremont I went to UC San Diego where a few important things happened -- I learned a little discipline on the rowing team and just prior to graduating, I learned how to think, rather than cramming for tests! I moved to New York City in '93, where I worked as a Research Tech while finishing a Masters in Public Health. The research job eventually lead to a Ph.D. in Experimental/Cognitive Psychology. During that time I met my fiance -- who is now in Des Moines, IA. Since 2000, I've been working in the field of Cognitive Neuroscience on projects relating to timed behavior and attention; first in the dept. of Neurology at Univ. New Mexico, and currently in the dept. of Radiology at UCSF. Now that I'm back in the Bay area for a little while, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I help Mark out with reunion stuff, so if you have any questions or just want to reconnect -- drop me a line.

Hello, I'm just updating my e-mail address. Please e-mail me if anyone is interested in making any arrangements for an "informal" 15 year (or so)get-together. I'd be happy to work toward setting something up. In any event, hope everyone's well. Take care, Mark
